The Brown Bunny

I finally saw Brown Bunny. Roger Ebert called it the worst film in the history of Cannes. I've never been to Cannes, but I agree, it's pretty damn bad. Here's the plot summary:

Man rides motorcycle. Man drives black van. Man kisses strangers. Man drives black van. Chloƫ Sevigny performs unsimulated fellatio on man. Man drives black van.

The movie lasts for 1 hour and 32 minutes. No kidding. I don't know what else to say.

Comments:
Based on your review I am now DEFINITELY going to see the movie.

Actually after the movie was severely trimmed by Gallo (or someone!), Ebert gave it a "Thumbs up!". He did trash it royally at Cannes which drove Gallo into a shit fit! I thought it was boring as hell until that BJ scene. You so seldom see explicit sex in American (non porno) films that this was sort of refreshing. More than my thumb went "up" when that scene came on! It's worth checking out on DVD and just running that scene. He wimped out with no "money" shot though.

I think the non-money shot thing makes it more realistic. Most guys, I think, would prefer it like Gallo got it.

As for me Brown Bunny is a really vivid film, showing all aspects of life. The soundtrack "Come Wander With Me" (Jeff Alexander)is awesome.
I also liked the play of a van man, Vincent Gallo, which got used to his role.
