Finally Found The Perfect Martini

It took 3 months but I've found the mix I like. I don't have exact measurements but this is roughly how it goes:

(In a 4 oz glass)

- Half a teaspoon of green olive brine.

- Liberal dose of dry vermouth. 1/2 ounce?

- Vodka, (any brand above $13/750 ML bottle) poured up to about 1/2 inch below rim.

- Top off with Bombay Sapphire gin.

- Pour all this into a shaker w/ ice and shake it until your fingers hurt with cold. If there are chips of ice in the poured drink, you're shaking too hard. Garnish with 2 green olives (see above) and serve.

The vodka smoothes out the bite of the gin and there's so little olive brine that it's not overly salty like a dirty martini. It's combined so that nothing overwhelms any other ingredient and you can taste them all. If you're feeling adventurous, drop two capers in.

Are you gonna drink that on the trip? I want to try it.

Sure!
